2-Day Ouzoud Waterfalls & Atlas Mountains Escape from Marrakech
Stand under Morocco's tallest waterfall — a 110-metre, three-tiered cascade in the Middle Atlas where Barbary macaques live in the olive groves and the spray makes its own rainbow. Overnight at a riad with a falls-view terrace.
Most travellers do Ouzoud as an exhausting day trip — six hours in the car, two hours at the falls. This tour does it the right way. You arrive in the early afternoon as the day-trip crowds leave, hike both rims of the gorge, take the small wooden boat to the base of the falls (where the spray hits your face and the rainbow forms exactly where you're standing), and sleep at a riad on the gorge edge where you can hear the water from your bed.
